Please welcome Mr. Connell to the MCS family! My name is Luke Connell and I was born and raised in McPherson County. I graduated from MCHS in 1999. I was fortunate enough to marry my high school sweetheart, Renee, in 2001 and we moved back to Tryon in 2005 to start our family. We are blessed with four awesome children, Leyton (13), Devanee (11), Brody (8), and KayCee (4). All four of them will be attending McPherson County Schools this fall. I have spent the last 15 years working for the Union Pacific RailRoad in North Platte as a mechanical carman. Last fall I decided to go back to school to try to earn my bachelor’s degree in Business Management. I am proud to say that I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney this summer and have now entered the transitional teaching program through UNK. For the last several years I have been the Head Football Coach here at McPherson County Schools and in our Cooperative Agreement with Stapleton. I look forward to working with the youth of our community as a business teacher and middle school science teacher. I am McPherson County to the bones and I am proud that I get the chance to follow in the same path of so many of the amazing educators that have impacted my life in such a positive manner.
