Speech 2024 Schedule:
January 15th: Words Have Power Speech Meet at the North Platte High School. We will leave the school at 7:00 a.m. and pick up NP kids at 7:35 a.m. Students need to bring food or money, their professional dress, and binders. Round one starts at 8:30 a.m.
February 3rd: The Gothenburg Speech Meet will be at the Gothenburg High School. We will leave Tryon at 6:00 a.m. and pick up NP kids at 6:35 a.m. Students need to bring food or money, their professional dress, and binders. Round one starts at 8:00 a.m.
February 7th: MNAC Speech Meet will be in Taylor at the Loup County High School. We will leave Tryon at 6:00 a.m. Students need to bring food or money, their professional dress, and binders. Round one starts at 9:00 a.m.
February 17th: The Elm Creek Speech Meet will be at the Elm Creek High School. We will leave Tryon at 5:30 a.m. and pick up NP kids at 6:05 a.m. Students need to bring food or money, their professional dress, and binders. Round one starts at 7:45 a.m.
March 2nd: Maxwell Wildcat Speech Meet will be at the Maxwell High School. We will leave Tryon at 6:30 a.m. and pick up NP kids at 7:05 a.m. Students need to bring food or money, their professional dress, and binders. Round one starts at 8:00 a.m.
March 15th: Districts at Wallace more information TBA.
McPherson County FFA members helped clear a tree line as well as split firewood to give to those in need within our community for the holiday season. Great work to the members and parents who helped with this project!
Due to freezing conditions, McPherson County Schools will have a 10:00 am. start tomorrow Friday, January 5th. The NP bus will run accordingly.

The annual McPherson County Spelling Bee for grades 3-8 will be held on January 30, 2024. The written portion will take place that morning. The top two spellers from each grade will advance to the contest that afternoon. The oral contest will begin at 1:30 PM in the high school gym. The public is invited to attend this portion of the contest. The winner of the oral contest will advance to the state Spelling Bee, which will be held on March 9, 2024 in Omaha.
Due to dense fog creating slick spots, McPherson County Schools will have a late start on January 4, 2024. Bus will run accordingly.
Girls JH Practice Change: JH girls WILL practice tomorrow at 2pm in Stapleton and will NOT have practice on Friday. Apologies for the change. Thank you for your understanding
