Speech 2023 Schedule
February 4th: Gothenburg High School Speech Competition
We will leave Tryon at 6:00 am.
North Platte kids need to be at Cody Park at 6:30.
February 11th: North Platte High School Speech Competition
We will leave Tryon at 7:15.
North Platte kids need to be at Cody Park at 7:45.
February 18th: Elm Creek High School Speech Competition
We will leave Tryon at 5:20.
North Platte kids need to be at Cody Park at 5:55.

For all competitions, students must wear black dress pants, a red dress shirt, a black suit jacket, and black dress shoes. Students also need to bring food or money with them to all meets.

Things are starting to get back into full swing this second semester.


Due to a conflict, junior high will not have a shoot around tomorrow at 9:30. Please be in Tryon at 10:00 for the van or Stapleton by 10:40.

Junior High basketball will be having a shoot around tomorrow morning, 1-7-23, at Stapleton at 9:30 a.m. The van from Tryon will leave at 9:00 a.m. Please have your athlete at one of these destinations at the times above. The JH bus for Cody leaves at 10:45 a.m. from Stapleton.

Congratulations to Carsyn for completing his ENTIRE pie in his ALEKS math library! Great work, kid!


Food Science students had to make a food product using fresh cranberries directly from Oregon! The results were delicious!





Welding students practiced their skills and made some small projects!





8th grade students finished their art semester by creating a fun ornament out of plastic cups. We found out through trial and error that it does not always work, but with practice they did get better.





Due to impassable roads and large drifts, McPherson County Schools will not be in session tomorrow, January 4, 2023. Stay safe.

MCS High School had a FUNtastic Science Fair Competition before Christmas Break. It was a very successful and a well informative event. FUNtastic job to all the participants and a huge congratulations to all the WINNERS! Your hard work and dedication have paid off. Happy Holidays
